Collits Inn Wedding, Blue Mountains Wedding Photographer Fiona & Bobby Photography

Alex + Christian’s Collits Inn Blue Mountains Wedding

Alex and Christian’s Collits Inn Blue Mountains wedding unfolded with ease from start to finish. From quiet preparations to a lively evening by the fire, the day moved naturally and without pressure. As a result, the photographs reflect real moments, genuine emotion, and a relaxed, candid energy throughout.

Because Collits Inn offers space, history, and sweeping views, it remains one of the most loved Blue Mountains wedding venues for couples who want a grounded and meaningful celebration.

Getting Ready at Collits Inn and a Front Lawn Ceremony

To begin the day, both Alex and Christian got ready at Collits Inn, each in separate rooms. They chose not to see one another before the ceremony, which helped build anticipation and kept the morning calm.

Importantly, Collits Inn holds deep historical significance. Built in the early 1800s, it began as a colonial homestead and coaching inn. Set on a sprawling property, Collits Inn offers a heritage homestead feel, open paddocks, and panoramic views that make it a standout Blue Mountains wedding venue. Because of this, the venue feels both intimate and expansive at the same time.

Soon after, guests gathered on the front lawn of the homestead, with Mount York stretching out behind them. The ceremony felt personal and warm. Victoria Eustace, the celebrant from All We Need Is Love led the ceremony with humour and care, keeping everyone engaged and at ease. Throughout the ceremony, laughter, connection, and shared glances filled the space.

Relaxed & Candid Portraits, a Barn Reception, and a Winter Fire Pit

After the ceremony, Alex and Christian spent time moving around the Collits Inn property with their wedding party, sharing laughs and easing into the afternoon before heading out for portraits. Rather than rushing away, they took it slow — walking, chatting, and enjoying being together.

Portraits unfolded across the grounds, inside the homestead, and over at nearby Mount York. Between the sweeping views and quieter moments indoors, everything felt unforced and easy. Before guests moved in, Alex and Christian also had a chance to step into the barn for a room reveal, taking in the details of their reception space before the night began.

As evening set in, everyone gathered inside the barn to celebrate, with a fire pit outside for those wanting to duck out and enjoy the crisp mountain air. Conversation flowed just as easily as the drinks, and before long music filled the space and the dance floor came alive.

Later in the night, Alex and Christian quietly slipped away from the party for a few end-of-night portraits — a calm pause after a full, joyful day.
