Live music photography in Sydney for artists, bands & tours

From stage to studio — honest, unobtrusive coverage of the

full process

Welcome to my creative space.

My approach is rooted in observation - documenting music as it happens, without over direction or interference. Working with touring artists passing through Sydney and local musicians, I focus on creating images that reflect both the energy of the moment and the personality behind it. From live shows to quieter studio sessions, I stay present without getting in the way.

A Documentary Approach to Music Photography

My approach is simple — be present, stay aware, and don’t interfere.

Some of the most meaningful moments happen outside the spotlight: before a set, between takes, or in the silence after the noise. I work within those spaces, capturing what unfolds naturally without directing it.

From stage to studio, every environment is treated with the same level of respect — allowing you to stay focused while I quietly capture the bigger picture.

about

Bobby

13-year-old me hears Prince’s 1999 album for the first time and is instantly blown away. I say to myself: "I, too, will start a band and rule the world with my music."

But it went downhill from there.

I picked up a guitar — couldn’t play a chord. Tried piano — my hands staged a protest. Gave drums a shot — no rhythm, no hope. Then I tried singing. One class, and the teacher refunded me on the spot, suggesting I try... anything else. Cheers, Ron.

18-year-old me is convinced that I'm the next conscious rap icon. I make beats, write rhymes and study the greats — Chuck D, Rakim, KRS-1. And yes, I wore Hammer pants (we don’t talk about that phase).

And then I woke up one day to face the facts: I was not the second coming of Rakim.

Crushed, I wandered the earth like the Incredible Hulk — angry, misunderstood, dramatically lit. Then someone handed me a camera. Turns out, this is the instrument I'm meant to play.

These days, I photograph music instead of making it.

If you’re working on something live, loud, or low-key — I’d love to document it.

What Sets my

work apart?

a fly on the

wall with purpose

I don’t insert myself into the moment — I observe it. Working quietly and with intent, I capture what’s already unfolding without shifting the energy in the room.

Respect & Understanding

for Creative Energy:

There’s a rhythm to creative spaces — I work within it, not against it. Always aware of the environment, never disrupting the process.

I stay out of the way, so you can stay in the zone. Nothing staged or forced — just real moments as they happen.

Tell me

what you're

working on

If you're in Sydney and it involves sound, I'm there. I'll be the quiet guy with the camera. Unless someone brings snacks. I like snacks.

Whether you're a musicians or a touring artists passing through Sydney and you're looking for more than just images, let's connect. If it’s a live show, a recording project, or something still taking shape — I’m always down to document the process as it unfolds.
