Earlier this year, I had the opportunity and great privilege to work alongside my good mate, David Duong from We Are Origami, on a styled shoot that he and some other fabulous vendors in the wedding industry weaved together. The stylist and florist was Chanele Rose Flowers & Styling, and she describes the shoot with these stunning words:
What better way to escape the cold Sydney climate then to dream of a warm place in the sunlit desert of pure white sand and earthy tones. The inspiration for this shoot stems from sun-kissed days and glowing tones of the desert sunset when combined with a red haired beauty of porcelain skin as white as snow along with delicate, laced robes and trailing veils we are now exuding with romance. We used various cacti plants with ample candles that resemble our desert and play off the gorgeous sunset combined with an intimate table setting overflowing with lush copper desert tone and textured floral details. A combination of flowers such as hellebore, cymbidium, poppies peonies, garden roses and parrot tulips create a soft textured sunset feel.
The following images are my shots from the editorial shoot. You can also see this same shoot through David’s lens at the We Are Origami site!
