The first time I met Aubrey was through a mutual friend at the Surry Hills Festival more years ago than I would like to admit, and I remember thinking to myself, “who is this cute lady with the awesome kicks??” We immediately hit it off, and had one of those friendships where you would see one another at the odd event a couple of times a year. Then life got serious and we both got caught up with all the glorious madness happening in our individual lives. The man lovingly wrapped around her arm was Rad. Rad. That’s his name. And yes, yes he is. As we briefly caught up on one another’s lives between passing trains, I remember my heart swelling with happiness to see an old friend in such a happy place, laced with lovingness.
Fast forward to the day Aubrey sent me an email asking if we would document their wedding day to one another, in front of their two beautiful children…what an honour. It’s always overwhelming when I stop and think about how people reach out to us to document their crazy fabulous day filled with so much love, but to document the wedding of a friend of whom you have known for quite some time, that notched it up a level for me.
Aubrey + Rad, it truly was a special moment for us, to witness all the little moments on your day from a place of complete trust and acceptance. It rained on us during the ceremony and portraits, but we just laughed as we embraced everything the day threw at us.
So much love for the two of you.
