“When it’s over, I want to say: all my life
I was a bride married to amazement.
I was the bridegroom, taking the world into my arms.
When it is over, I don’t want to wonder
if I have made of my life something particular, and real.
I don’t want to find myself sighing and frightened,
or full of argument.
I don’t want to end up simply having visited this world.”
When I started this new adventure into documenting the connection that people have with themselves or another, I didn’t think I would feel the way that I do now. To be in the presence of someone who is comfortable being in the presence of themselves is beautiful. And then, to be in the presence of two people who are enamoured in every way with one another, to be trusted and allowed access into that orb of safety and complete love; that is an honour.
To sit here and say that this is what drives me would be cliched, but it’s true.
Here are two people, who found one another. They live a life with love at their fingertips.
Thank you. Thank you for giving me a glimpse into what you both hold sacred.
