Let’s be honest here, being asked to document anybody’s wedding definitely gives us the warm and fuzzies. But it’s so much more than that too, it’s being asked by two people to tell the story of their love on that day and the celebration with their carefully selected friends and family. Being asked to document an elopement, now that just took all those feelings and elevated it to a level that we didn’t know was quite possible. Not only are you invited to document such an intimate union, but you are one of the very few people who experience it firsthand.
Eve + James invited us to tell a very special story…the story of two people getting married with only their baby son as their guest. We watched as they exchanged glances with expressions that could only have been visible in such a setting. Here is love. We witnessed it between the two of them, and we witnessed it in a place of intense wilderness. The only guests were the inescapable rays of the Sun, the kangaroos, wallabies and one little baby who will one day come to know how brave his parents were with love. Sometimes, you don’t need anything more than the look your fiancé gives you as you exchange the vows that bind your beings to one.
