“When we love, we always strive to become better than we are. When we strive to become better than we are, everything around us becomes better too.” Paul Coelho
It’s been a while since I posted anything to the Portraits for Coffee, but I have one final installment for you.
Meet Azadeh, a person whom I call friend and I person whom I call warrior.
We spent the day driving to the South Coast through the stifling heat, trying to beat the storm clouds that were giving us a run for our money. Just as we got there and a couple of frames in, the sky broke open and showered upon us a downpour of rain that was not only welcomed but cooling. We huddled underneath the umbrella and I kept thinking to myself that I need to photograph this, I need to document it, but my laughter took over and my fear of getting my gear wet crept in. I should have discarded the fears, I should have just preserved the moment – but these lessons are to be lived and learned. But the Sun broke free and showered us in rays and giggles. The day was well spent with this warrior. She sets herself goals and lives her life by them. You hear people say that you should surround yourself with people who you admire, people who have strengths and aspirations in their life that you admire, and people who have big hearts. Well, this is it. All in the one package. Every coffee date with her is uplifting and inspired. What a beautiful way to end the project.
I wanted to thank all those that took part in my little experiment and hope that you all took as much away from this as did I x
